What is AccountzConvert for Windows?

AccountzConvert for Windows is a free utility that allows users of the Home Accountz multi-platform personal accounts manager, which is no longer commercially available or supported, to convert their Home Accountz data, once they have exported their Home Account Accounts Tree and Transactions as Comma Separated Variable (CSV) files, into the file format used by MyNetWorth for Windows (.mnw).

AccountzConvert for Windows is simple and easy to use. The most complicated aspect of migrating from Home Accountz to MyNetWorth for Windows is exporting the Home Account data, which needs to be done with care. However, clear instructions can be found in the AccountzConvert User Guide.

Once the Home Accountz data has been exported, converting them to the MyNetWorth for Windows format involves the following steps:

• Decide whether to convert just the Home Accountz Accounts Tree or both the Home Accountz Accounts Tree and the Home Accountz Transactions. Select the Accountz Data Scope accordingly.

• Click on the Import Accounts Balances CSV file button, navigate to the CSV file that contains your Home Accountz Accounts Tree and open it.

• If you are also converting your Home Accountz Transactions, the Import Transactions CSV file button will be enabled (if the Home Accountz Accounts Tree has been imported successfully). Click on the Import Transactions CSV file button, navigate to the CSV file that contains your Home Accountz Transactions and open it.

• Click on the Convert Accountz Data button, which will be enabled if the Home Accountz Transactions have been imported successfully.

• Click on the Save Converted Data button, which will be enabled if the Home Accountz data was converted successfully, navigate to the directory where you want to save the converted data file, name the file and click on the Save button.

You will now be able launch MyNetWorth for Windows, open your Home Accountz accounts and continue to manage your personal finances without having to rely on an app, which is no longer supported.
