Version 3.2 Brings iOS 26 / Tahoe Compatibility to MyNetWorth and iNetWorth

Versions 3.2 of both MyNetWorth and iNetWorth (and their Preview equivalents) have been published on the Mac App Store and the App Store. These latest versions are fully compatible with iOS 26 and macOS 26 (Tahoe). They remain compatible with macOS 12 to 15 and with iOS 18 and I have published Mac Catalyst versions of both iNetWorth and iNetWorthPrview.

I have taken the opportunity to make some improvements. In MyNetWorth I have added a searchbar to the Payees Source View; although you can no longer use Apple‘s built-in Type Select capability to find a payee rapidly, the new searchbar does allow you to search for any part of a payee’s name rather than having to type the payee’s name from its beginning. I have also fixed a (longstanding apparently - sorry!) bug in adding a new payee in the Payees Source View in MyNetWorth.

In iNetWorth I have reworked the use of toolbars so that they no longer contain labels (such as current and cleared balance) or action buttons. I have also removed the Back buttons that used to appear next to the title labels in top level (Accounts, Payees, Schedule, Balances and Reports) Views. Tapping on these used to close the current transactions file, which was annoying. The only Back buttons that close the current transactions file are now located to the left of the Filename label at the top of each (non-modal) screen.

I have added searchbars to the modal sheets that are used to select payees and/or accounts, when adding/editing transactions and when selecting filters in the Reports View. The impact of iOS 26 is more obvious on the iPhone than the iPad with searchbars floating (glassily) towards the bottom of each modal selection screen. Most of the searchbars on the iPad are custom built (rather than using the SwiftUI .searchable modifier) and they appear at the top of each modal selection screen. I have to apologise (once again) to iPhone users as I am still working on updating the iNetWorth User Guide; I have to replace 107 images, all of which are quite complex and have to be built with screenshots generated from Xcode simulators and put together using the GIMP app, to incorporate the new user interface of iOS 26. On the other hand, however, I have already published the new User Guide for MyNetWorth.
