Coming Soon - New Versions of MyNetWorth, iNetWorth and MyNetWorth for Windows

I have been working on one new feature and a number of bug fixes and improvements to MyNetWorth, iNetWorth and MyNetWorth for Windows over the Christmas and New Year break. The new feature is the capability to generate Scheduled Transactions from normal transactions in the Accounts and Payees Views, which simplifies the creation of Scheduled Transactions and could save you a fair amount of time and effort. For example, if you need to set up a years worth of monthly insurance premium payments, where the first payment often differs from the remaining 11, you can enter the first payment as you make it (in the Accounts or Payees View) and then create the remaining payments as a Scheduled Transaction. One simple selection will open a prepopulated dialogue box for editing (and adding) the new Scheduled Transaction; you need only set the Period and the Amount and click/tap on the Save/OK button to create it. You can create Scheduled Transactions in this way for Split, Transfer and Normal Transactions.

The main bug fix is to ensure that, when processed automatically or manually, Scheduled Transfer Transactions generate “sibling” transactions, which go through the Transfer Account to support the separate reconciliation of their To and From transactions. Another bug fix addresses the issue of the Payees View and the Balances View contents being displayed incorrectly on iPads with the top of the Sidebar and Detail panels obscured by the Select View Tab Buttons. The improvements are: to add details of the source and destination accounts of “sibling” transfer transactions to their entries in the Account and Payees Detail Views and in their editing dialogue boxes for clarity; to ensure balances are always displayed in the Schedule View, when the Account Filter is turned on, but suppress them for Scheduled Transactions that do not alter Net Worth when the Account Filter is turned off; to align the display of Reports View balances displayed in the Balance/NetWorth column across MyNetWorth, iNetWorth and MyNetWorth for Windows; and to increase the amount of padding set in dialogue boxes in MyNetWorth to cater for changes in the macOS Tahoe GUI.

All of the coding is complete and is being tested. I hope to submit the new versions of all apps for approval / certification very soon and publish them all immediately thereafter. If you have any suggestions for new capabilities or improvements (and bug fixes, of course), please get in touch via the Contact Page or email chris@crizzle.co.uk.
