Adding One-Off Future Transactions in MyNetWorth and iNetWorth using Schedule View

I have made some changes to Schedule View to support the entry of one-off future transactions in MyNetWorth, MyNetWorth for Windows and iNetWorth. Until now users, who want to add one-off future transactions into their accounts have had to do so by entering them in the Accounts or Payees Views, which can make the Current Balance displayed above the list of transactions differ from the actual, real life, current balance. The actual, real life, current balance can be still seen from checking the Running Balance column entry against the current date but this is less than ideal.

I have added a new Period definition to the structure of the Scheduled Transaction. The new period definition is No Repeat. To add a one-off future transaction, enter it as a scheduled transaction with a No Repeat period selected. The No Repeat scheduled transaction will be processed normally, as would any scheduled transaction. However, once processed the No Repeat scheduled transaction is simply deleted rather than having its due date amended.

The No Repeat Scheduled Transaction can be particularly convenient for dealing with scheduled transactions, such as motor insurance premiums paid monthly by direct debit, the first of which often has a different amount to that of the following 11 premiums. In this case the initial direct debit can be entered as a one-off future transaction (with its period set to no Repeat) and then duplicated to create the remaining monthly premium payments as a scheduled transaction, running from one month after the first transaction (with the duplicated scheduled transation’s period set to Monthly and its Amount set to match the premium that applies to the remaining 11 transactions).

This change has been incorporated in Version 3.1 of MyNetWorth, MyNetWorth for Windows and iNetWorth and in the Preview/Trial versions thereof.
